If you love history, Georgia’s Chickamauga is going to feel like home before you even unpack. The Chickamauga Battlefield, one of the most significant Civil War sites in the whole country, is right here, and you could spend an entire Saturday wandering around, reading all the plaques. If you're more of an active, get-outside kind of person, you might just run into me and my dad there! We love riding our bikes on the 10-mile loop.

It has a real small-town feel, with a downtown full of boutiques you will want to poke around in. There's also a railroad that runs right through town, and it makes for some of the best photo ops. My professional photos on this site were actually taken there!

The schools here are something special too. Chickamauga runs its own school system that’s  like a private-school option inside a public system. It's unique, but it works, and families love it.

On top of all that, you've got great parks and even better restaurants. Chickamauga's the kind of town that makes you want to stick around for the weekend.
